What are the agricultural markets?  Who trades and uses them --- and could derive benefit from MRCI's research into them?

The primary US agricultural crops (in volume, acreage, and exports) include corn, soybeans, and wheat.  Producers use these futures for these markets, if not directly via hedging then indirectly through local elevators --- who hedge pricing by producers.  Exporters and importers hedge purchases or sales, as do consumers such as bakers, soybean crushers, food processors, and livestock feeders.

The primary US livestock markets include feeder cattle, live cattle, and hogs.  Again, producers use futures to hedge their purchases and sales, as do consumers such as international restaurant chains, importers and exporters, and food processors.

Traders, producers, and consumers can all benefit from knowing when prices have tended to be low, when to rise, when to be high, and when to decline.  How about you?
